I had to edit my comment to emphasize how terrible your post is from the perspective of a longtime blogger. The original comment did not emphasize it enough.

My problem with your post is that it sees running a blog as a means to an end, rather than the point of the journey itself. Your solution to not running a blog is to pay actual bloggers for guest posts and backlinks as a workaround for doing the work.

I have to deal with something like 50 emails a week from people who do just this on my blog that I pour my heart and soul into. Therefore, I feel justified in my comment.

Build something yourself instead of outsourcing every element of it. Don’t let SEO be the only thing that shapes what you build.

You think I may be mean, but I am actually trying to warn you that this is a dangerous path. Creativity needs to be a part of anything you do online, and it needs to be far more elemental in the process than ROI.

You could have chosen to respond constructively to my insight, but instead you called me stupid. Think about that.
