To emphasize again (as I have already said elsewhere), these were years-old projects that were created for private use, and at the time I created them, GitHub did not offer private projects via its free plan.

I understand the motivation to correct others who do things a different way, but part of the reason why I offered this anecdote was to highlight that it was a horrible practice.
